Movie Review: The Bourne Ultimatum

Like the other Bourne movies, “The Bourne Ultimatum” starts off running and doesn’t stop until the end credits.  Once again we get to marvel at the killing machine known as Jason Bourne.  He’s the guy who can take anything and turn it into a weapon.  This time, there’s a nail biting combat scene featuring a beat-down with a book and bathroom towel.  I was grinning from ear-to-ear.  Actually, I was grinning from ear-to-ear during the entire movie while thinking “I wanna play this game”.  I always love the way Jason ends up getting guns from his opponent.  This movie introduces a trouble making deputy CIA chief, Ira Kramer (I think???), played by David Straithern (the chain smoking “Good Night and Good Luck” guy) and he looks like he’s having lots of fun.  The character played Julia Stiles also gets some screen time which was nice — oh, and Pamela Landy too.  Their characters hold their own in the movie and it’s nice that the women didn’t become the centers of escort missions ( by the way, there is a very good one at the start of movie).

For those of you familiar with GTA, it might be a fun activity to figure out how many stars Jason Bourne has earned during the chase scenes.  Doing this made the movie extra fun for me and my husband.
