Merging the TV, PC, and the Internet

Obviously the people at Wharton missed E3. Here’s some analysis of the possibilities of merging the TV, PC, and the Internet. I personally don’t think the single function media connection boxes are going to take off. It one more box with and accompanying remote to add to the collection. I think the multifunction boxes like entertainment PCs and gaming consoles are how the Internet will come to the TV. I think this is because the gaming console makers, in particular, are masters of human interfaces and things will be so intuitive that people won’t even realize they are on the Internet as they access content. Anyhow, here’s a link to the article. I think the thinking that went into this analysis is already stale.
